Take a Bullet train to CaixaForum

This post may or may not contain more art. But I swear, I don’t wake up in the morning, hysteric and wide-eyed, determined to hund down any and every bit of art news in Spain. It just happens upon my plate. I’m served it every time I visit a news-wire site. ‘Art Exhibition X in Madrid, *insert date here*’, ‘Madrid Welcomes Art Exhibition Y’. And most of the time, there’s a sequence of accented letters in the titles, so I’m usually not even reporting the correct event.

So to postpone the slaughtered spelling of another exhibit, Bullet trains. Yes, Bullet trains, shot from their Bullet-train stations.

Today saw the inaugural launch of a Bullet train, linking Madrid to Barcelona. Passengers departed the Catalonia region of Madrid at 6am and arrived in Barcelona 2 hours and 38 minutes later.

Art

There’s a new addition to the Madrid Art-scene, CaixaForum, a seven-floor brick and cast-iron complex located minutes from Prado, Reina Sofia, and Thyssen, and including works by: Cindy Sherman, and Cornelia Parker.
